The challenge

Jason fell back in love with his agency. Then he mostly stopped running it.

He'd been building websites, funnels and logos since the late '90s. Hundreds and hundreds of clients. When we reached out about the 2025 Love Your Agency Again challenge he was done. He says he didn't know how done until somebody asked.

The solution

Halfway through the five weeks it worked and he liked the agency again.

That's when he saw the actual problem.

For twenty years it paid the bills and it bought him time at home when his family needed him there. That's a solid trade.

The work he's actually built for, helping people start things, was sitting in second place behind the thing that funded it.

What we did

The other thing that came out of those five weeks wasn't ours to claim but it was a bonus. We pair everyone in the cohort with an accountability partner. We put Jason with Mark because we had a hunch. Turned out they had a lot more in common than two agencies and a stuck feeling.

What changed

So he flipped things around. He's moved since, off an island and back to a city he'd left. The agency still exists in name and referrals. He just isn't chasing clients. Marketing and web are still in there, second now instead of first.

They're still on Zoom every Tuesday morning over a year later. They even started a project together.

“If the only thing you got out of joining was a friend for life, somebody you could talk to in a similar situation, it's worth it,” Jason says. “That in itself is worth the price of admission.”

The takeaway

Some mornings he still just wants to sit outside with his espresso.

He does.

Your next chapter starts with just one meeting, you and me.
